Switzerland: report 2014

January - August 2014:  Communication between Switzerland and Mali is difficult at the moment, but we do have regular contact with Sophie, which allows us to follow developments in the north of the country.  It remains impossible, for now, for us to consider visiting Mali or sending any type of supplies.  We must be content with sending help to the children through Sophie only.  This is why there is so little information on these pages.
However, we are still working to raise funds to support our orphans, so we would like to announce our traditional, annual concert.  This will take place in Versoix on Saturday 1st November 2014.

Another date not to be missed!
In 2015, the AAG will celebrate its tenth anniversary.  In order to properly mark this occasion, we will be hosting a dinner on Saturday 21st March 2015.  
Further details will be announced nearer the time.

September – December 2014: After some preparations we are ready to party!  On the first Saturday in November, ‘Les Caves de Versoix’ open their doors to more than eighty people who have come to listen and dance to music from the sixties until the present day.  A young group of five musicians are a particular success.  They are NO WAY, and manage to charm the whole audience with their energy and music.  ‘Oldies Goldies’ and ‘Red’brothers’ are also a big hit.  Many thanks to everyone for donating their time and talent, thanks to the organisers, Sylvette and Jean-Pierre Piccot, to the kitchen staff, to the town of Versoix for their generous support, and to TéléVersoix for their coverage of the event > see here.

We would also like to thank the CLUB RICHELIEU MADAME DE STAËL and the THÉÂTRE DE L'ESPÉRANCE for inviting us to the evening of theatre they organised for the benefit of charitable organisations, including the AAG.
