Switzerland: report 2009
January – February 2009 : We have started the new year full of optimism as the financial situation of the AAG is positive thanks to the support of our many donors. We have sufficient resources to undertake responsibility for the regular care of our orphans, however, more sponsors would give us greater security in the future.
The AAG currently has 50 members and 28 sponsors.
The AGM is scheduled for 30th March 2009
March 2009 : The AGM of the AAG Geneva and the AAG Vaud took place in a very convivial atmosphere with the presentation of accounts, reports, budgets and future plans.
The meeting took place at the Groupe Médical at Onex and we would like to thank them for their warm hospitality and the refreshments they provided.
There are two events planned in May and June of this year, with another possible in September.

The current committee was reelected for a period of two years with the welcome addition of Laura to the Vaud committee.
April – May 2009 : Brel, encore...
In the community hall at Onex, the Medical Group organised an evening concert of Jacques Brel songs on Friday 8th May. The proceeds from the concert will go to our orphans in Gao.
After a traditional meal of mussels and chips, Jean-Pierre and Philippe captivated the audience with their interpretation of the songs of this unforgettable artist.
A DJ and dancing ended the evening.
Many thanks go to the organisers and supporters of this event.
The following day, our loyal friend and member of the Association, Vreni, performed on her barrel organ at the Versoix flower market.
